Central Maine Bassmasters

Who We Are
Central Maine Bassmasters is a B.A.S.S affiliated club located in Durham Maine. We meet once a month,
on Sundays during the winter and Wednesday nights in the summer. Our meetings last approximately two
hours with time set aside to talk about fishing (lures, techniques, etc.). Every member of the club is dedicated
to helping new fishermen enjoy the sport
What We Do
Most people Believe that a fishing club is just that, a fishing club. Central Maine Bassmasters is about
more than fishing. Each year we strive to keep our boat launches and lake’s clean, Whether it means picking up
trash at a local boat launch, pulling fishing line from a submerged log to save someone’s propeller, or simply
recycling all the baits used in our tournaments using B.A.S.S’s ReBaits program.
We also spend time each year volunteering at Pine Tree Camp on North pond in Maine’s Belgrade Lakes region. Pine
Tree is a summer camp for children with disabilities. Once a year the club takes a trip to Pine Tree. While we are there we
give every child a chance to fish with a club member. We also supply the camp with fishing equipment to use throughout
the year.
During the free time in between our conservation efforts and volunteer work, we fish seven tournaments a year along
with hosting a single “open” tournament.
